The "End of the Road" summer reading party featured comic mime Fax Gilbert. He enlisted children to help with his act. The party also included refreshments and drawings for a bike helmet, remote controlled VW, and other prizes.

The Library held its first Art After Hours gallery night opening. The exhibit featured three local artists: Amy Wood Thomas, Lisa Lawshe and Michael Burgher. Library staff member Karla Kuhn is featured in two of the photos.
